Since I’m part of a very musically inclined family, I’m never at a loss for things to listen to or even watch on TV. My husband has a pretty good collection of music/concert DVDs – especially now that we have Blu-ray.
I thought a little Frampton Comes Alive II DVD would be a great choice for a little dinner music.
As a matter of fact, I had it cranked up so loud that I didn’t even hear the phone ring. Yup. I’m nothin’ but an old rocker.
I was always fascinated with Frampton’s long locks (he’s got quite the thinning hair line on the DVD). I always loved his songs – even the ones they didn’t play on the radio. And the voice box thing was amazing to me. Grayson was pretty intrigued by the fact that I knew the words to the songs….especially given that the album came out in 1976! 1976 was, er, a few years ago.
Who would have guessed that the rockin’ music of my youth is now dinner music at my house?

I have a cousin about my age and my most vivid memory of her was how much she loved Frampton. Lost touch after we were grown and I found out her life pretty much became a train wreck, sadly. Peter’s still cool, though.
Did you see him on that Geico commercial? I just looked it up on youtube. No long hair… maybe no hair. He sings about wanting to pull his hair out, thought that was funny.
